I do think that in a year or two it’ll reduce jobs for shitty / junior programmers.

My client right now is a startup. One problem they have is that the founders don’t know the difference between good and bad code. They also don’t know that they don’t know. They do know that their app fails daily with new and old bugs.

I feel like these kinds of problems are difficult for AI.

The solution these companies often reach for is hiring senior American devs like me to introduce stability and reduce chaos.

Like I told one of the founders, “There’s no free lunch—you’ll have to pay one way or another.” So these are the key problems that companies face.

I think ChatGPT isn’t revolutionary enough.

It needs to be as revolutionary as MS Excel. That app truly made programming available to non-programmers.
